Kowloon, was an
important place in my life. Not that I can personally remember very much but from what I
heard later in life. Kowloon was the first place that my Dad saw me. I believe I was
playing in a sand pit on the front lawn when a strange man came in through the gate. I ran
into the house shouting that a clown from the circus had arrived, that clown was my Dad
returning from the war.
I don't know how long we lived at Kowloon and unfortunately I left it too late in life to
find out from my mother whose memory was getting shaky on these things. I
