This is yet another picture of me in front of Dad's pride and joy, a Hillman car which
he owned while we were on Malta. The hub caps had been removed because these seem to be a
prime target for stealing, the thieves would then stand at the end of the road and try and
sell them back to you. |

The view from the roof of 42 Sacred Hart Avenue towards St. Georges Bay
This was our first flat in Malta. It was here I became seriously ill
from drinking water from the well in the basement of the flat. |

Tal Handak School sports day
I went to school at Tal Handaq (Tal Handak) School. I remember we had a large tree outside our classroom. On
hot days we would sit under it for our lessons. Each day we had to have
a sleep after lunch.

Admiral Power having
a peep at what's going on.
We moved to a first floor apartment at 18a Scott Street, Valetta. It was
directly opposite the residence of the Admiral. I can remember being in
an earthquake one night it was so strong my bed collapsed. |
