 11th February: Went to Club Med in Noumea Had a great time, I think I only slept for about 5 hours the whole week. |
 April 1980 a trip to National Park in the centre of New Zealand's north island. This shot beside the crater lake at the top of Mt. Ruapehu. |

 5th September: Took Mum for a holiday to England, the motivation for the visit was the wedding of my cousin Betty's daughter. On the way we stopped in Los Angles and did the Disneyland things. We also went south of the border down Mexico way to Tijuana. |
 Mum had chance to catch up with relatives, here she is with Uncle Harold, Betty's Father. |
26th December: Went on a 20 day Youth Hostel tour of the South Island of New Zealand. Pictures of this on 1981 page...........I think I have the travel bug!
